Bonne Maman Intense Cherry Jam Negroni with a Brûlée Nectarine

We are a family that really enjoys our jams ,whether it be on our favourite bread, an addition to our cheese & charcuterie boards, pastries, desserts and even in my sweet or savoury recipes. Recently, I have been experimenting by adding them in our cocktails and even Mocktails for our girls to enjoy as they add a slight sweet and flavourful boost.

Meet the Intense Cherry Jam Negroni with a Brûlée Nectarine.

The Negroni is a popular Italian Cocktail considered as an aperitif,  it’s quite simple, equal parts Campari, gin, and sweet vermouth and stirred built over ice.

I have partnered with one of my favourite jams Bonne Maman given this Italian classic a twist. Ok, for all my Italians out there, please forgive me but I promise you, this version of the traditional cocktail will definitely impress you. I have substituted the sweet vermouth with Bonne Maman’s new Intense Cherry flavour for a sweet fruity boost of flavour.

What I love about Bonne Maman’s new Intense line, it delivers more of the fruit and flavor we love, but with less sugar – 38% less sugar than regular preserves, to be exact. This is definitely a jam I feel good about giving to my family.

Bonne Maman Intense Cherry Negroni with Brûlée Nectarine

Course: Drinks

Materials

  • 1 oz Dry Gin
  • 1 oz Campari
  • 1 tsp Bonne Maman Intense Cherry jam
  • 1- 1/4 inch wedge Nectarine
  • Turbinado / Demerara Sugar
  • Fresh Cherry optional

Instructions

  • Fill a rock glass with ice. Add gin, Campari and stir in jam.
  • Sprinkle nectarine with sugar and torch
  • Garnish cocktail with brûlée nectarine and cherry.
