To make drunken cherries, add cherries, vanilla sugar and whiskey in a medium sauce pan over medium heat. Simmer until cherries have softened, released their juices and thicken slightly. Stirring occasionally for about 10 minutes. Set aside to cool.
Preheat oven to 350F.
Butter a 8×5 loaf pan.
In a large bowl of a stand up mixer, beat butter and honey at medium speed until fluffy.
Add eggs in one at a time and beat well after each egg.
Beat in vanilla until blended.
Stir in 1 ½ cup flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Mix in yogurt and 100g of the chocolate until well combined.
Pour batter into loaf pan and bake for 35-45 mins until set and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Let loaf sit for 5 mins before removing from loaf pan.
Let cool and top with drunken cherries.
Melt remaining 50g of chocolate and drizzle on top of cherries and loaf.
