Cherry Brandy Harissa and Smoked Honey BBQ Sauce
We have been taking advantage of Ontario cherry season and enjoying them before they are all gone! We love them snacking on them as they are plump juicy and so sweet! I have recently shared with you a few sweet recipes that my family has been enjoying! I love cherries with spirits such as whiskey and brandy. My recipes for the Drunken Cherry Dark Chocolate Loaf and Puff Pastry Baked Brie with Drunken Cherries are made with whiskey and are a must try. The drunken cherry sauce is perfect on toasted bagels, on a cheese board and a delicious toping on ice cream. Well, keeping with the drunken theme, this cherry brandy and harissa bbq sauce will become one of your favourite sauces. Its simple to make and is absolutely addictive. Perfect to slather on ribs, chicken, pork and burgers. It is also a wonderful bbq sauce for pulled beef or pork for your tacos or on a bun with slaw! I recommend making a double batch and even a triple batch as lasts weeks in the refrigerator in an airtight container or mason jar. It also makes for a wonderful hostess gift!
